SUU vs Providence Rain Delay
SUU vs Providence Rain Delay
During spring break, SUU softball played in a tournament at Loyola Marymount University. The tournament lasted a total of three days, most of which were greatly effected by rain. We attempted to play a game against Providence College before being called for a rain delay. During this time, we initiated a game of tic-tac-toe with Providence. We did this by rolling a ball back and forth across the field into their dugout. The ball had a tic-tac-toe board on it. I believe we went 1-1 in that game.
We rolled the ball over one more time and asked Providence if they wanted to do charades. They rolled it back and agreed to the challenge.

After playing charades for 30 minutes Providence began a lip-sync battle. Up first for SUU, Mikaela Thompson singing to "Wannabe" by the Spice Girls.
Next for SUU: Kendall Kapitzke singing Hannah Montana "Nobody's Perfect"
Madison Tuft brought it on singing Nicki Minaj "Superbass."
Bri Fliehmann and Sarah Murphy provided a bit of a duo performance to "No Hands" by Waka Flocka Flame.
Sam Guerra finished the rain delay with "Teach Me How to Dougie" by Cali Swag District.
It was a bummer that we did not have the opportunity to complete the game because the rain did not stop and our second game of the day was postponed until Sunday morning. While the day did not go as intended, we still made the best of it and will have plenty of fun memories to look back on.
S/O to Providence College Softball for providing an entertaining game delay. Best of luck to your team this season!
